Where Equality New Mexico Will Be This June

As the team member responsible for capturing moments and using community voices to inform how we speak, I’m so excited to tell you about where Equality New Mexico will be during Pride Month!
Pride celebrations are more than gatherings, they’re where we find our people, connect with our neighbors, and build true community power.
You may have heard us talking about Built by Us over the last few months, this is one of the seasons where we put that initiative into full swing. With a very successful Primary Election earlier this week, now is the moment to keep building off of that momentum.
This year, we’re showing up at more Pride events than ever! We can’t wait to listen and connect with LGBTQ New Mexicans across the state!
We know that Pride is a protest, that's why we prioritize statewide presence during June. While Queer and Trans New Mexicans all over the state gather to connect and celebrate, we show up to listen, learn, and be in solidarity with the communities we exist to serve.
With the largest team Equality New Mexico has ever had, and three new board members to support us, we are ecstatic to jump into Pride Month.
Of course, this work wouldn’t be possible without our amazing Community Engagement Strategists, Hazel and Sorraya, and our powerful volunteer team. We’re grateful that our communities have allowed us to show up across the state through their donated time and effort.
